Precious Moments after a scary Experience

On wednesday, the 15th July,2009 at around 3:00pm my wife Doris and I were driving on our good ole safari to Kota Kinabalu from our home in Keningau. We took the treacherously steep Kimanis Highway.

We almost didnt make it to Kota Kinabalu

Along the way, the rear wheel of our faithful old vehicle, our Nissan Safari, wobbled as we faced an oncoming toyota double cabin vehicle. And before we knew it.. a loud screeching sound and then a loud thud as we felt the Safari come to a stop on the left side of the highway and it was then that we realised the rear right trye had completely come off together with the axle drive rod and flew towards the ravine !!

Needless to say, Both my wife and I were dazed and confused before we realised the narrow escape we had.. often the impact of the real time experience takes time to sink in.

For a while, we were both silent and speechless..
All we could do was Look at each other in wonder.yes..
Look at us :)
and a feeling of being so fortunate, so thankful that we were not hurt at all ! Amazing experience..
